Experience for yourself the satisfaction that comes from rediscovering and learning skills of bye-gone times. Since 1986, homestead and pioneer-craft classes at Quaker Hill Farm's Pioneer School of Homesteading have offered students unique opportunities for hands-on learning in a number of creative areas that nourish the human spirit in the direction of supportive community and wholesome family oriented endeavors.

In this ever advancing age of technology, homestead skills and folk arts are a part of American heritage that we endeavour to preserve through classes and seminars designed to make students more self-sufficient, self-reliant and self-confident. Our classes offer participants a chance to experience traditional farm life by working with their hearts, hands and minds as they step back in time and reclaim for themselves the lost arts of yesterday which can be applied in modern life for a more sustainable and economical lifestyle.

Students experience a since of accomplishment that comes from hard work and in many cases leave with completed projects to take home.
